And Chili Night in Beckley on October 1st was indeed a very wet and chilly night!!!
Attendance was better than expected taking weather into consideration. Crime Stoppers had a variety of delicious desserts donated by the Board of Directors to sell: Strawberry Cake, Pumpkin Swirl Cake, Brownies, assorted Cheesecake, Fresh Apple Cake, Pound Cake, Yellow Cake w/Caramel icing, Chocolate Cake, etc..
A big "Thank You" to the following people for donating goodies: Bill & Lynn O`Brien, Chuck & Jenny Noll, LeeAnn Campbell-Miles, Connie Mills, Charles Keesee, Sue Fazio, Nancy & Howard Brown and Butch Fink.
And a big shout out out to those of you who braved the wet and cold to set up, sell and shut down: Bill & Lynn O`Brien, Chuck Noll, LeeAnn Campbell-Miles, Connie Mills, Nancy Brown and Butch Fink.
Also, a big Thank You to Kenny Bryant with Coldwell Bankers for donating a helium tank so that we could inflate balloons to pass out to the children. Butch Fink did a wonderful job inflating balloons, earning him the name of "Balloon Boy" on Chili Night. He comes highly recommended for that task!!
Thanks to all who stopped by and purchased dessert(s) and said "Hello" Hope to see you Chili Night 2012 and hoping for better weather.
